Week 1 - C-Class Meeting Mingle

[Shortly after Dazai's announcement, Saki goes around finding all of the C-class she can, directing them to bathrooms.

Once everyone is gathered, she'll speak up:]

I apologize for the location, but this seems to be the one room where we aren't under as much surveillance. That said, I thought it would be best if we could collect our thoughts on how we want to proceed with this mission, since I think all of us were taken by surprise on those rules.

I also want to make note of how many teams have a C-class. I know I'm the only one for the... Blue Butterflies. [Which sounds so ridiculous considering the penalty for failure is death.]

If no one has to die during this mission, I'd like to minimize casualties. Losing man power here doesn't do anyone any good.

But at the same time, the primary goal of the program is entertainment. Luckily, we have some oafs around here that provide this simply by existing... It will buy us some beneficial points with the audience, one should hope.

This is broadcast to everyone in the Foundation, isn't it? What a wonderful image for them to see, I'm sure. All of us with powers killing each other at someone else's whims.

The meeting just now was literally televised, wasn't it? I'm not saying it's impossible to make excuses for it, but it sure is making it harder.

Tch, people'll believe anything they're told. At the end of this they'll make some kinda "their sacrifice was necessary to save the world" announcement and people'll lick that shit up. That's how shit like this always goes.

I can't argue that it doesn't sound likely.

Having lead an organization before, all I can say is that I'd have deemed something like this too risky even if I was for some reason already out of my mind enough to host a death game.

We're all still SCPs to them, that's a heavier factor than any leading style.

What we do is for the good of the world. This isn't a case of that.

I'm not that gullible, and neither are the other agents in the Foundation.

The ramifications of this aren't something they can easily explain away. It's going to impact others one way or another, and I think we should consider that before we do anything rash.

[And as she talks, she begins to realize...]

If this just causes them to view people like us as even more expendable, I want to avoid that outcome, and that means avoiding making ourselves out to be bloodthirsty murderers.

I've killed numerous people. [ yet, dislikes: murder ] Even so... I do believe we should make an attempt to avoid death, while accepting it as a possibility - namely given the mix of people we have.

This could be a test, and I know I'd rather prove them wrong, if there's a chance they're assuming that people really will up and kill one another. [ just sayin' ] And, more importantly, pointless death is wrong.
